I have a lot to write regarding our last few days here. I will, you will hear more stories and more thoughts, but right now we are dealing with a slightly more pressing issue. Everyone reading this blog has donated to me and Children's Global Alliance in some way over the last few years. Upon traveling to Cambodia this year, United Airlines informed us that our 2nd bag, the ones filled with donations and supplies for the children at the orphanage, were going to cost us $100 each, totaling $1300. Our budget for these trips are very tight, and we have had about $6000 in unexpected costs since April. We are working to get our money back from United, however we are struggling to fulfill some of our projects here because of this. Being a small non-profit, our cushion for these situations is not as big as we would like. A little goes a long way here in Cambodia, and we want to ensure that we can complete what we came to do, in the best possible way.
