Nicaragua, here I come

I am beyond thrilled. Due to an unfortunate mess of circumstances out of our control here at Children's Global Alliance, our trip to Nicaragua has moved up a week... and along with this misfortune comes the opportunity for me to jump onto the end of this trip. I could not be more excited. I'm not going to lie, Nicaragua is the one trip that scares me. We work at a school for children with special needs, and in developing countries where feeding the family is hard, these poor children get the short end of the stick. I am selfishly nervous about how I will handle seeing the mistreatment of kids who deserve so much more. It is not a fear of the kids themselves, but a fear of my reaction to their circumstances. But I am so glad to have this opportunity, and there is no better way to overcome a fear than face it. Going to all three countries this year is such a dream come true. I know this is what I was born to do, and I am so glad to be continuing to delve deeper in at such a rapid pace. We have our packing party next friday and will be getting our suitcases of supplies and donations ready for Nicaragua and Cambodia. If you have anything to donate please contact me! We also accept monetary donations all year long, so if that is how you can help us, we appreciate every cent. In three weeks I will be writing you from Rivas, "where your intention goes, energy flows".

Thank you for following my dream and passion.
